Southern Stocktakers and Valuers was started by Richard Spargo in 1986.

Richard began his stocktaking career for Fourbouys Newsagents where he gained invaluable retail knowledge and stock valuation skills. Richard applied this knowledge to his own retail businesses whilst running his own newsagent and card and gift shop until starting SSV over twenty years ago.

Since then, SSV has steadily grown and currently employs 8 members of staff who are based all over the country.

SSV approaches each stocktake in a professional, personal and competitive manner. Most managers accept that without keeping a regular check on your stock figures they will be unable to detect losses such as staff pilferage or shoplifting.

 

Without this deterrent these losses will accumulate and increase each year, resulting in serious problems with cashflow and continued profitability.

SSV provide services to all types of businesses including CTNs, grocers, forecourts, garden centres, hardware stores and card & gift shops.

In addition to the above, SSV is also experienced in licensed stocktakes.
